Thank You to The Lions Clubs of District 35-0 for Participating in the November Diabetes Awareness Walk Sponsored by the DeLand Lions Club.

Walkers Raised $3,000.00 for Diabetes Camp Scholarships

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton

This past year, the medical students at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton  http://lecom.edu/bradenton/  continued a tradition started by classmate and FCCYD Counselor Adam Kansagor of making Clay Santas and selling them to help support various not-for-profit organizations.   The Florida Diabetes Camp was the recipient of this year’s proceeds which totaled over $1000.00.  The donation will be used to provide scholarships for needy children. In addition to this fund raising event, the medical students at LECOM-Bradenton have also become very involved in our summer camps and several of them have volunteered to serve as counselors this summer.

A huge Thank You from everyone at FCCYD to Adam and his Classmates for their support of the Florida Diabetes Camp!
