This was the seventh year of camp for our youngest campers.
This camp session offers
a specifically selected staff and a shorter session plus activities geared for
young children. This camp, located at the Rotary's Camp Florida near Tampa,
introduces children to Diabetes Camp. Emphasis is on having fun with around
the clock supervision by our medical staff of pediatric endocrinologists and counselors experienced in diabetes
management. The Rotary's Camp Florida has air conditioned cabins with bathroom facilities,
a pool and indoor recreation and classroom space. Activities include swimming, field sports, archery, arts and crafts, and
canoeing. Evening programs include a Costume Party, Winter Holidays, Luau,
Everybody's Un-birthday and Carnival. Counselors assist campers with
daily diabetes management skills. A low camper per staff ratio insures that the youngest
campers have a positive first time camping experience
